Climbing Queen- Clematis

Clematis 'multi blue' is a fascinating flower. It's also one unlikely to be forgotten, or overlooked, considering its beauty and its large size. I imagine it would make an perfect skirt for a fairy wedding gown if turned upside down. A fairy queen at that! Its no wonder that one of its common names is climbing queen. Strangely though, it happens to be toxic to cats, dogs and also horses so hardly a plant you would want in your garden if you are an animal lover unless you keep it under lock and key. Hmm...royalty locked away? Fairytales and fancifulness seem to be in keeping with this flower.
