Between lightness and darkness

'the paitning; 'Between lightness and darkness', has been created during the fist quarantenne, march 2020. It is based on experiances of isolation, everday fear and hope for common health and everyday life.
Water is the primary, endless source of information. It is an intelligence that carries many records. Water is a spectrum of physical, psychological and spiritual states. It transmits, records and saves information within all four elements. Matter such as water is definitely a persona, a character of many faces.
Water plays endless performances every day. Its movement through space and time is almost imperceptible to man. Reflection, ripple, splash or massive flow of quantity. Sound, texture, shape, speed, depth and, after all, silence.
Light also travels through the water. It gives her colors, hues, tones that characterize our environment, habits, well-being and rituals.

The process of painting with liquid shades of pigments, allows me to get to know all the above characteristics of water. Water travels through the surface independently, searching for paths and creating patterns, leaving behind traces. They can be recognized on the canvas, sky, foreign planets or in the depths of the ocean. Its dance with light is a performance, a collaboration of two cosmic spheres. Sounds become memories, distant stories about the matrix of life. Water creates religions, beliefs, worlds, and ultimately, endless spectrum of micro and macro spheres.
