As dawn breaks, a Cape Vulture sits enveloped in the golden radiance of sunrise. This piece explores the fragile boundary between life and loss. Even though their presence is vital to maintaining the health and balance of the ecosystems in which they live, these magnificent birds are tragically poisoned across South Africa, victims of superstition and myth.
