My Favorite Blooms

One may think that floral paintings do not really have much to do with the theme of reflections...but I thought it fitting due to the process of painting: as I capture each petal or bunches of petals, I find myself contemplating and reflecting about absolutely anything and everything - from world crisis to what's for dinner! Painting gives us that, the time to reflect, to enjoy the moments of pure bliss and content. This work in particular was one of my first works where I used numerous layers of glazes and took a long time to complete, first one that taught me to be very patient and to trust the process.
