I have been a leisure painter in transparent watercolours for forty years, inspired by the watercolours of Walter Battiss who taught me at Pretoria Boys High School many years ago. My subjects are diverse but, as a retired wildlife ecologist, I have a special love for South African landscapes and wildlife. My recent paintings can be seen on Instagram @peternovellie.
