Rainbow Sky

Both of my entered paintings are from the Landscape Mindscapes series which is a series of imagined landscapes, based on reality, yet having a surrealistic mood.

In "Rainbow Sky", I wanted to use all 3 primary colours in the sky and then intermix them with, and emphasize, the secondaries in the landscape below.

The message in this painting is one of renewal and new beginnings; a celebration of new life.

I used transparent watercolour on Hahnemuhle 300gms paper.
